Summertime Necessities

Hannah Bianca

When it comes to summer and traveling, you should always be prepared to be happy, look glowing, and be badass enough to stunt on everyone! These things should definitely be in your possession to get you through an amazing summer vacation. Literally A M A Z I N G.

Hydroflask:  STAY HYDRATED!This water bottle is pretty pricey compared to its competing counterparts, but this bottle keeps my ice in it for hours. It's double walled and super insulated, so it's pretty essential for hotter weather, especially in humid areas. Wouldn't want to be dehydrated now, would you? Buying this bottle also helped me remember to get in my daily required intake of water in, especially on vacation. I fill it up with the intent to drink it all by the end of the day.

32 oz. Wide Mouth Hydroflask with Flex Cap in Mango, Amazon, $39.95

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion: This is some kind of magic potion I swear; it's the holy grail skincare product when it comes to surface pimples and at times even cystic acne. Put it on your pimple and it's gone within a few hours. Now, it's not going to work instantly. Ever heard of that saying, "a watched pot never boils"? Typically I leave it on overnight and sleep with it on, or put it on and binge watch a show or paint my nails. It does the job 98% of the time!

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion in Glass Container, 1.0 oz, Ulta, $17

Bio-Oil: THIS IS ALSO AN ALL TIME HOLY GRAIL SKINCARE PRODUCT, the best thing I've ever used for acne scars! Take notes!! For a reasonable price this is another miracle product. My mom and aunts have been using it for years and I only recently tried it but, vouching for them and I, it works. But, it does take time. Like months. And it's skin care so you have to be religious about it.

Bio-Oil Multiuse Skincare Oil in 2.0 oz, Ulta, $9.99

Klorane Dry Shampoo: Any kind of dry shampoo will do your hair wonders. Seriously. Technically, you aren't supposed to wash your hair every day–especially if your hair is dyed or treated. This makes your second, third, and fourth day hair look just as good as the first. It cancels out the oily and greasy looks and adds a great amount of volume to your roots to give you a bouncy and fun hairstyle. Other than Klorane, I'm also in love with OUAI and Living Proof dry shampoo. I typically have at least 3 different bottles of dry shampoo at home, it's scary. It's that much of a necessity for a girl who limits to washing her hair once a week to keep the color from fading, but also looks like medusa every morning when she wakes up.

Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk, Sephora, $20

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo, Sephora, $22

OUAI Dry Shampoo Foam, Sephora, $28

Skinfood Strawberry Black Sugar Mask Wash Off: To keep your face clean and worry free get a face mask that feels and looks good, but smells just as amazing too! It's inexpensive and makes my face feel smooth and fresh after every use. It also lasts me months! Such a great purchase, and is something I'd definitely stock up on.

Skinfood Strawberry Black Sugar Mask Wash Off, the Skin Food, US, $11.50

Rayban Erica Sunnies: These sunglasses have gotten me through EVERYTHING. The perfect pair of sunglasses—ones that have frames that complement a person's facial features—is essential to have a great summer. It's a bonus; not only are you protecting your eyes, but you're also looking great while you're at it. I'm also in love with their frames, Round Flash.

Ray-Ban Erika Classic Sunglasses in Black/Grey Radient, Ray-Ban, $140

Ray-Ban Round Metal Flash Sunglasses in Copper Flash, Ray-Ban, $175

Cute Ass Bralette/Body Jewelry: This sparkly gold chain and rhinestone combobralette is definitely in right now! Pair it with an open jacket or cover up, this could be the perfect party or clubbing outfit. Just make sure to wear it pasties...or not, whatever floats your boat. No, really, wear it with pasties, this shit hurts.

Gold Rhinestone Bralette in S/M, Windsor, $25.90

Cute Ass Bikini Tops: What else could possibly be essential for the perfect summer? The perfect bikini of course! How are you going to look good for the 'gram? Everyone has a summer beach picture to show, so make yours stand out with a bikini that makes your bod look good. It doesn't need to be the kind that every single girl has or wants; it's whatever compliments your body. Remember, to get a bikini body, 1) buy a bikini and 2) put it on. Your body doesn't always have to work with your bikini, especially it doesn't fit your body type. Just find the right bikini that makes it look great! If that means itty bitty bikinis or ones that are full coverage, then go for it. The bottom doesn't matter so much, typically there's a matching one or a plain black bottom that goes with any color and print.

Tan LA Hearts Ribbed V Strap Triangle Bikini Top, PacSun, $26.95

Blue Lizard Australian Sunscreen (not pictured): Above is some random sunscreen I bought from a random Filipino drug store, but it works so well! The problem is, it's only available in specific Asian countries. I only really bought it though because I forgot my beloved Blue Lizard in the States. That sunscreen is by far my favorite and works very well with my sensitive skin! It's pretty water proof though the brand itself doesn't claim so. Sunscreen is probably the most important thing on this list during the summer because no one wants gross and painful sunburns or skin cancer. Save yourself and load up on any sunscreen. It's a definite must.

Blue Lizard Sensitive Australian Sunscreen SPF 30+ in 8.75 oz, Amazon, $25.22

Put all of these things together and match with the perfect highlight, friends, and mojitos and you're guaranteed to have the perfect summer!
